State utility approves plan to cut SCE&G gas bills
The Public Service Commission approved an agreement lowering natural gas bills for South Carolina Electric and Gas customers. Beginning November, a 100 therm monthly bill would be about 160.45 dollars, reflecting an 18 dollar improvement from last winter. The deal allows monthly rate adjustments to reflect market gas costs and avoids past spikes from events like Katrina.
