ABC sees marathon from Rod Dixon with helmet camera
Rod Dixon will wear a five pound helmet camera and a microphone during the New York City Marathon to provide a runner’s view. ABC plans to monitor pace and positioning while Dixon stays with leaders for short stretches and withdraws with officials’ approval. Curt Gowdy Jr. notes Dixon’s stature suits the role and will also use a heart rate monitor on Bill Rodgers.
