Ridge Harvest Festival Promises Busy Ridge Spring Day
The Ridge Spring Harvest Festival opens with the Harvest of Talent Show at Ridge Spring Monetta Elementary School gymnasium at 7 30. The State Championship Cake and Pie Baking Contest judges meet at 6 p.m. in the Masonic Building Town Square. A Reunion on the Ridge begins at 9 a.m. featuring patriotic music. Around 70 arts and crafts booths line the Square near First Baptist Church. A 90 unit parade starts 11 a.m. from RSM Elementary led by grand marshal Leon Everette with a 12 40 p.m. performance on the Town Square. A barbecue dinner follows at the fire station. Activities include clowns, jump rope team, teenage entertainment, concerts, street dancing, and a 10 p.m. fireworks finale.
