Ex-Aiken HR director cites hostile environment in resignation
Nola Grant, former City of Aiken human resources director, says a hostile work environment forced her to resign on Sept 29, with unresolved issues cited in her letter. City officials dispute the claimed conduct while offering no speculation on specifics. Grant alleges a deteriorating situation since April after concerns raised with City Manager Joan Klunm. Mayor Rick Osbon confirms awareness but cannot comment on personnel matters. Council is informed, and the city intends to proceed through normal processes to fill the department head vacancy.
