Charleston authors dominate The New York Times best sellers
In Charleston three writers Robert Jordan Sue Monk Kidd and Dorothea Benton Frank all placed on The Times list this year. Jordan notes his Wheel of Time epic carries a Southern voice though not set in South Carolina. Kidd says Race is the wound of my geography and Isle of Palms reflects Lowcountry life. Frank describes Isle of Palms as a humorous tale rooted in Sullivans Island memories.
