Family brings State Fair to homebound patriarch
In Cheraw, South Carolina, ALS patient Jacob Jacobs, nearing 72, cannot attend the State Fair in Columbia for the first time in 55 years. His family and a local friend recreated the fair at his home, gathering popcorn, cotton candy, and fair-themed items with State Fair support to honor the tradition. The effort reflects the long-running fair’s community spirit as organizers extend prayers and participate in this intimate tribute.
