Aiken connector road panel misses self imposed deadline
A joint City of Aiken and Aiken County committee reviewing a proposed Whiskey Road to Silver Bluff Road connector has not yet produced a recommendation within its 90 day goal. Chairman Scott Singer cited ambition and ongoing work explains the delay. The panel includes two subcommittees on property impact and connectivity with members from both governments and three private citizens. Residents flag traffic model issues and route options as consultants reassess the proposal for future needs and user groups.
