Nix Poised To Lead Aiken County Republicans

Aiken County elections commissioner David Nix is expected to be named the county party chairman at a convention today. Delegates from 63 precincts meet at Midland Valley High School at 8 45 am with guests including state GOP Chairman Henry McMaster Lt Gov Bob Peeler Secretary of State Jim Miles and Rep Jim Klauber. Carol Bauer wife of Gary Bauer and former Reagan White House adviser will attend. Delegates will elect officers for two years and consider resolutions. chairwoman Diane Giddings has withdrawn for health reasons.
