Power Outage After Aiken Crash Near Courthouse

A car driven by Sung Herndon and her husband Dan Herndon crashed into a power pole and cement wall on Richland Avenue near the Aiken Judicial Center. The collision caused a power outage, damaged the vehicle, and left the driver with a cut lip. both occupants were treated at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. South Carolina Electric and Gas crews cut the line as firefighters cleared the scene and traffic was detoured.

U N Workers Evacuated From Haiti After Crisis

Holly plans private practice return as city attorney

Five Arrested In Aiken Drug Raid At Cushman Arms

Law enforcement staged a Thursday night raid at Cushman Arms Apartments on Laurens Street in Aiken. A two month undercover operation yielded guns drugs and cash with 99 grams of cocaine valued around $3000 seized. Spokesman Thomas M. Galardi confirmed multiple arrests and hinted at more to come.
