Navy sailor stabbed and robbed near hospital after nightclub incident
Anthony Francis Pagano, 20, of North Augusta, on leave from the Navy, was stabbed and robbed of 1300 in cash and other items early Sunday. He was treated and released from University Hospital. Pagano said two men offered drugs, then attacked him outside the Operating Room nightclub and on nearby grounds.

Salley double tragedy ends in suicide and homicide
Salley residents Lavell Ponto Salley 25 and Rosa Varnett Brown 24 were found dead at a rural mobile home late Friday. Coroner Sue Townsend said Brown was shot outside the home and Ponto inside. Ponto apparently shot Brown then killed himself.
