Bathman charged after stalking report
Kelvin Schoultz a 37 year old Bath man was charged this week with stalking and three counts of domestic violation of a court order of protection in Aiken County. He is alleged to have contacted the 33 year old woman more than 60 times and sent multiple texts after an order was issued. Schoultz appeared before a judge on July 29 and was jailed after being arrested on Wednesday and taken to the Aiken County detention center.

Jailbreak 5K Run Open for Registration This Saturday
Runners can still register for the second annual Jailbreak 5K hosted by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office. The point to point course along Langley Pond features hills and a downhill finish with a DJ. Proceeds support the Aiken-Augusta Warrior Project. Register online or at 113 Langley Dam Road from 7 to 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Race starts at 8 a.m. with a $30 fee.

Kids Marathon Registration Extended at Citizens Park
The annual Kids' Marathon at Citizens Park extends registration to Oct 16 at the H Odell Weeks Center. Participants log daily miles totaling 25 miles over two months and finish with a 1.2 mile Fun Run on Nov 5 at 9 a.m. The event costs 5 dollars per child and is followed by USC Aiken HIV screenings at the Student Activities Center with free 20 minute tests on select dates.
