Bartow Boylston longtime Aiken business leader dies in Athens
Bartow Boylston of Athens Tennessee and former Aiken South Carolina business owner died Friday October 6 2006. He built Boylston Brothers with his brother operated four generations of oil heating and air conditioning and sponsored youth sports in Aiken County. Surviving wife Mabel Norwood Boylston daughters Vera and Jan Marie sisters and many in-laws survive. Graveside service held at Sullins Cemetery with Mars Hill Presbyterian Church officiating. Memorials to McMinn Archives Mars Hill or a favorite charity.

Mother charged in death of 9 month old twins
In Berkeley County a mother, Lakeia Nicole White, 20, was charged with homicide by child abuse in the deaths of her 9 month old twin boys Davion and Trevon Wilson. Police say the boys were smothered while in bed after crying, with an autopsy pending to determine the official cause. White waived bond hearing. authorities noted no signs of prior abuse and the infants were reportedly well cared for.
