Bunny Makahon quipped about needing it while others shared tips on foundation and powder as Doug Meyers teaches science outdoors and in class. Two students helped push start two ladies' car during an impromptu session.

Warm Trend Continues With Mild Nights Ahead

The forecast calls for cloudy skies with only a 10 percent chance of precipitation tonight and 20 percent tomorrow. Lows near the low fifties and highs in the low eighties set the tone through the weekend with a chance of showers Sunday. By Monday the low around 50 and highs in the 70s.

Defense Continues In Murder Trial Day Three

The trial of Francis Arthur Downs 35 continued with the defense presenting witnesses aimed at showing the defendant feared for her life. Rovene Howard testified she saw Mrs Downs anxious and frightened during the events surrounding the shooting of Clarence Lee Downs the estranged husband.

Three Aiken County Council Terms End Nov 8

The South Carolina Attorney General says three county councilmen elected in 1974 will have terms end November 8 1978. The council will shrink to nine members on that date with eight single district seats and one at large district. Dems Cleve Edmunds Forest Kirby and L V Davis held over terms without successors.
