Palestinian guerrillas say Syrian forces launched an armored push toward the port of Sidon after Syria warned of punishment for Palestinian attacks. City Manager Roland Windham announced at a city council meeting that land acquisition is underway and architects are finishing plans. The site at a 1958 tract on S.C. 19 across from Gayle Avenue will house 46 elderly units and 54 family units, ending a seven year search for a suitable site.
