Bomb threat prompts evacuation at Advanced Fiber Yarns plant
Two bomb threats forced Advanced Fiber Yarns employees to evacuate Saturday evening. Plant Manager Jerry Hawkins said the alarms triggered an immediate evacuation as a caller claimed a blast would occur in about 30 minutes after the 4:25 pm call. A search of the building followed.
