The Supreme Court declined to hear Shannon Faulkner’s appeal challenging The Citadel’s ban on women as cadets. The denial leaves in place a long legal fight, with Faulkner having dropped out after a brief cadet stint. The court also refused to substitute Nancy Mellette as petitioner in the case.
AP reports truck driver Frederick Jelks sneezed causing him to lose control and veer into Hartwell Lake near Hart County Georgia. He was not hurt, pulled from the water by a crane after fellow truckers rescued him.
