Judge Moore Delays Trials For Chitty Bradley Graham

Langley magistrate Lester L. Chitty highway patrolman W O Bradley and former patrolman R C Graham had trials postponed to the November term of General Sessions court due to Chitty’s hospitalization. Indicted Sept 13 on bribery and ticket fixing charges, the men’s delay was requested to avoid publicity about Chitty’s health. Grand Jury action produced 11 true bills on opening day. other court actions included multiple guilty pleas for driving under the influence and related offenses with penalties ranging from jail time to probation and alcohol-abuse program enrollment.
