Shiloh Springs invisible water source for Aiken dates back century

Wyatt Johnson Aiken Engineering and Public Works says Shiloh Springs remains nearly invisible as a gravity fed water source since 1911. The pond built with sand drainage and river sand covers powers the city with minimal maintenance and low cost. The system uses unique sand mold pipes and eight miles to connect to the city, with the original sewer and storm drainage largely intact.
