Iselin Estate in Aiken Hosts Elegant Tea Receptions
The 14 acre Hopelands property of Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin on Whiskey Road was famed for formal dinners and afternoon teas. A descendant of a China trade ship master, Iselin was noted as a sportswoman who sailed in America's Cup defense and defeated Prince Duke Michael in a 1900 golf match.
