The Center for African American History Art and Culture seeks 2.9 million over five years via the Aiken Together campaign to fund finishing touches at its Immanuel Institute home at 120 York St. The campaign allocates 41 percent to the center 28 percent to the visitor center and train museum and 31 percent to the Savannah River Site Heritage Center. The site serves residents and visitors with history from Africa to local art music and military service.
South Carolina begins the CSID consumer protection monitoring program for taxpayers affected by the tax agency breach. The contract, issued Sept 23, runs through multiple years with enrollment open through Oct 1, 2014 and a potential renewal to 2018. Enrollees receive monitoring across credit bureau activity and related personal data.
