James Robertson of Columbia was charged with DUI and unlaw ful carrying of a pistol after police found two loaded handguns and five other firearms with ammunition in his vehicle on Pawnee Street. He recorded a .04 blood alcohol content and was jailed before being released Wednesday.
An Aiken car lot worker was robbed at knifepoint on Whiskey Road after a suspect feigned interest in a SUV. The suspect fled with a purse and cards. Separately, Sampie Alvin Noakes Sr., 68, was charged with third degree arson after a suspicious fire at his Wall Street home rekindled, with witnesses noting intent to burn the house. Authorities from local and federal agencies assisted in the arson case.
