Walter Moore 41 announces bid for Seat 4 on the Aiken County Board of Education. He owns Aiken Fabricators for 13 years with 33 employees. Moore cites dedication to improving the school system and serves on the Vocational Advisory Council. He is married with four children and attends Bethcar Baptist Church.
Voters who moved or have not voted in four years must register by Saturday 3 p.m. for the November election. Registration is at the Voter Registration Office in the County Council Building on Richland Avenue, with sessions at Aiken Technical College U.S. 1 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday Hahn Village Community Center 3 to 7 p.m. Friday Kwick Shop S.C. 19 North 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday Schofield Parking Lot Barnwell and Sumter corner 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Richland Ave office 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
