Father charged with homicide by child abuse in Easley case
In Easley, James Dickerson Jr. 40, is charged with homicide by child abuse after authorities say he beat his 7-year-old son with a metal mop handle and delayed calling for help until the boy was dead for at least two hours. The 5-year-old also was struck with the same implement and is in protective custody.
