Stephen Vaughn Geddes a 64 year old Mimosa Circle resident is jailed on criminal domestic violence charges of a high and aggravated nature. Police say he held his wife at gunpoint after drinking heavily and required two officers to restrain him before booking at the detention center. A 911 call from a witness prompted the report.
Salley hosts the 2008 Chitlin Strut weekend with a 4 to 10 p.m carnival at the Salley Civic Center and Fairgrounds, a 7 p.m Chitlin Strut Idol at the Civic Center, a pancake breakfast at Dean Swamp Lodge, early biscuit breakfast at the Salley Garden Club, chitlin plates sold at the Civic Center, and a 10 a.m. Main Street parade plus ongoing carnival hours Saturday.
