Sakharov’s Wife Granted Italy US Travel Passport For Health

Yelena Bonner, widow of Andrei Sakharov, received a three month visa allowing travel to Rome for eye tests and to Boston for a coronary bypass. She has Italy and United States destinations on her passport and plans to leave soon. Her daughter Tatiana Yankelevich described Bonner as tired but in relatively good condition.
