USCA to Host Language Arts Festival for Area Students
USCA will host the Language Arts Festival at the USC Aiken campus on Saturday Feb 3 for grades 6–12. Organized by Keith Griffin and Em Ligon, the event features four divisions and four contests, with top finishers earning medals. Registration closes Jan 20 and judges are welcome.

MOAA Christmas Meeting Set at Houndslake Country Club
Military Officers Association of America will hold its annual Christmas Meeting on December 3 at Houndslake Country Club. Social time starts 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:15 p.m. Members should bring an unwrapped toy for the Salvation Army and toiletries for Augusta VA Hospital patients. Langley Pond Level To Be Lowered For Maintenance
Langley Pond in Aiken County will have its level lowered for annual inspections and maintenance starting Monday December 4. The pond will be unavailable for boating until refilling begins Tuesday January 16 and is expected to return to normal by Monday January 22. For details contact Brian Sanders at (803) 642-7559.
