Silver Bluff High School NJROTC earned top honors at a Hilton Head drill meet with nine other schools. Senior Matthew Glover said Marine drill instructors from Parris Island pushed cadets to meet strict standards. SBHS won unarmed squad varsity color guard and freshman color guard, finished second in armed squad armed platoon female color guard and female armed squad, plus first and second in Knockout. It marked SBHS’s third straight win at the event, Lt Cmdr Ron Freeman noted.

Man given 28 years for manslaughter after retrial ruling
