Gollie Fogle 65 died Friday at Lexington County Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Robinson Funeral Home Wagener. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Leroy Dotson of 21 Townsend Street Clearwater.

Esther Adams 83 dies in Columbia Hospital

Mrs. Esther Adams 83 of 815 Ligeon Ave Aiken died Sunday morning in a Columbia hospital. She born in Edgefield County was member of Springfield Baptist Church and B Society in Trenton DC. Cromer Rites Set for North Augusta Automobile Victim

Charles Franklin Cromer of 221 Duncan Road North Augusta died in a Saturday car crash. Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Clearwater First Baptist Church with Revs W L Brown and Chester Smith officiating. Burial follows at Sunset Memory Gardens. Survived by his widow Elizabeth Cromer two daughters Rebecca Ann and Cindy Cromer and extended family including his mother, four sisters, one brother and several half-sisters. Sojourner’s Lodge Opens For Aiken Youth

Sojourner’s Lodge near the Fox Drive-in in Aiken County opened with an open house drawing over 100 people. Ken Atkinson and 300 volunteers renovated a two story home donated by Clifton Weeks to provide a non-denominational Christian coffee house for youths 7 p.m. to midnight each weekend. The God Squad counselors, led by Roger Beasley Jr., emphasize listening and peer guidance to help youths with real problems.

Youth Charged With Assault After Morgan Street Fight

A 19 year old Aiken man Dennis Johnson of 767 Abbeville Ave was charged with simple assault and battery resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after an altercation on Morgan Street. James Seigler suffered head injuries needing five or six stitches at Aiken County Hospital.

N. Augusta Man Killed In Wreck

North Augusta recorded its second traffic fatality of the year when Charles Franklin Cromer 35 of 22 Duncan Road Clearwater died after his car left the roadway struck an incline and overturned at East Buena Vista Avenue. He was partially thrown from the sunroof and suffered a broken neck. Aiken County Board of Education bus parked on Nutgrove Avenue sustained $250 damage after Barbara Dell Jones 111 Midland Avenue struck a puddle and slid into the bus. The Jones car incurred about $500 in damages.
