Millions of travelers rush to the skies amid discount fares and a long weekend. Airlines forecast about 6.5 million passengers over five days, roughly 10 percent more than last year, with peak travel today and Sunday.
Utah callers heard a Santa Claus recording while Nevada listeners reached a Dial-a-Porn service on the same advertised number. The glitch followed a Salt Lake City KTVX ad linking to Nevada stations. Parents in Lund voiced shock as a 7-year-old dialed Santa and heard explicit profanity.
A storm system brings more rain tomorrow with rain ending this afternoon. Expect cloudy skies and a low near 50. Tomorrow’s high will reach the lower 70s with a 20 percent chance of rain and partly cloudy skies. See Page 10A for details.

The Commerce Department reports a October trade deficit of 12.1 billion, the third straight monthly decline. Exports rose to 19.3 billion while imports climbed to 31.4 billion, signaling potential easing of the wide deficit amid a stronger dollar and manufacturing concerns.
