Louise Hryniewich and Priscilla Denehy of Aiken finished 50 600 words in 30 days for NaNoWriMo last November. They joined a support group at Atlanta Bread Company and mailed themselves toward publishable memoirs and journals now on CreateSpace and Amazon.

North Augusta Belvedere Board of Realtors discussed its future at a recent meeting. Rural Aiken County was named a 2010 Groundwater Guardian Community by The Groundwater Foundation of Lincoln Nebraska. The designation honors local efforts to protect groundwater and places the county among 132 communities in 34 states and one Canadian province acknowledged nationwide.
