Tennessee seeks Hannah Montana movie shoot despite limited incentives
Tennessee officials consider rebates and tax breaks to lure the Hannah Montana film starring Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus back home. Disney aims to begin filming in April with a late 2008 or early 2009 release, but Louisiana’s aggressive incentives complicate Tennessee’s bid. The Cyrus family maintains Tennessee ties and a local home, emphasizing the project would boost tourism and provide a family friendly film.
