A security guard napping in a Harare thicket was hit in the left leg and right hand when other guards fired, mistaking his snores for a wild pig. The injured guard was unnamed in On Guard, a government safety publication.

Actress Dies On Stage In Real Death Scene

Edith Webster a 60 year old actress collapsed on stage during a performance of The Drunkard at the Towson Moose Lodge in Baltimore and died of an apparent heart attack after being rushed to St. Joseph Hospital. The audience of more than 200 clapped as she slumped on stage and the cast summoned medical help.

USC Aiken Receives 352000 Grant for Economic Enterprise Institute

USC Aiken announced a 352 500 grant from the John Olin Foundation to establish the Economic Enterprise Institute EEI with a North Augusta BTC partnership. The project creates two new business faculty positions a lab facility at the 120 000 square foot Martintown Road center and funding for Enrichment Seminar and Faculty Grant Fund. The university will match funds over three years and a National Advisory Board will oversee progress.
