The 1930 South Carolina General Assembly faces a likely $11 million appropriation rise. Budget officials, led by Governor Richards and lawmakers, have hearings across departments, with most requests pushing total needs toward $12 to $13 million. Increases cover salaries, farm and home agents, pensions, hospital building, report publishing, elections, and the 6 0 1 school law. The present year’s appropriation was about $10.28 million excluding highways.

It promises definite station separation, no reception overlap, and uniform range reception with shielded chassis and illuminated kilocycle dial. The Krylectron feature reduces machinery sound, delivering near studio clarity and strong power handling for avid listeners.
The legislature increases Baum related appropriations while Governor Richards and the Budget Commission push to limit totals. An eleven million dollar 1980 BHD appropriation is noted as conservative, with efforts to minimize impact on departments and institutions. Historical totals will still exceed last two years, but lag behind earlier high appropriation years.
