Beech Island man back in custody over monitoring device removal
Aiken County deputies arrested William Todd Sanders 50 of 626 Pine Log Road after his electronic monitoring device was cut off at home. He faces charges for removing the device and multiple prior offenses including unlawful pistol carrying and drug and weapons charges. Sanders left with an unidentified person two hours before deputies arrived, his wife having posted bond for him.

Batesburg man arrested for sexual assault of middle school student
James Daniel Sheppard, 40, of 1140 Chinquapin Church Road, was arrested Wednesday on charges of third degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and exposure of private parts. The alleged incident occurred August 30 near Coyote Court in Ridge Spring. The victim told deputies Sheppard exposed himself and attempted to coerce contact, then molested her after she refused.
