Rotary Club hears USC Aiken poll on Bush and 2008 race
USC Aiken political science professor Dr. Bob Botsch presented survey results showing about 42 percent of Aiken County residents approve of President Bush with 44 percent disapprove and 12 percent mixed. Clinton leads Obama in Aiken among Democrats, and Iraq war support wanes from 36 percent not worth it in 2003 to 52 percent in the current year. The poll reflects an open Republican field and a county with 46 percent self-identifying as Republicans.
