North Augusta Acts on Budget and Greeneway Route Study

North Augusta City Council approved the 2004 budget with refinements including 8000 for Olde Towne Preservation and precise mayor and council salaries. Sanitation and utility rates rose about 4.89 monthly. In a study session prior to the vote, officials favored extending the Greeneway along railroad rights of way from Pisgah Road to I 20, with cost estimates of 1.2 million vs 411060 for an alternative. Property owners preferred the railroad route, and grants totaling 150000 to 175000 were pursued with a November 29 intent for funding.
