Seven Children Hurt as School Bus Collides With Pickup
Seven elementary students aged 7 to 11 were treated and released after a pickup struck a school bus carrying 25 children to Meadowfield Elementary in southeastern Columbia. The crash occurred before 8 am at a south Columbia intersection. the truck driver was unharmed.

Betsy Wilson-Mahoney transformed hundreds of feet of pale blue hospital walls at University Hospital into a whimsical garden filled with joyful creatures in 12 days. She is now painting 19 scenes depicting the life of Christ at Aiken First Baptist Church and starred in a Diabetes Association benefit musical of South Pacific. Previously a fiber artist and textile designer, she left the road to raise her two children and pursue painting full time, after a decade in textiles and a shop in The Alley.
