After 29 days of jury selection the murder trial of Henry Louis Wallace a 30 year old Barnwell man is set to start this week in Charlotte He is charged with killing 11 women in the Charlotte area including nine strangulations and is accused of additional killings in Barnwell and another Charlotte victim Police say Wallace claimed to have killed 10 Charlotte women over 22 months and later added another victim in South Carolina

Built by his father in 1937, the mill processes about seven bales per hour and 3,000 per season, producing the 41 by 54 by 28 inch long old style bales weighing about 500 pounds each as other mills close across the county.

Four children slain in Laurens as father questioned

Laurens authorities describe the killings of a 16 year old girl and three boys ages 10 13 and 14 as the worst homicide in over two decades. Father Johnny Satterwhite 37 is being sought for questioning after a note and a .22 revolver were found at the scene. The children were last seen at school Thursday and were found dead in their beds Sunday in a single story Laurens home. The case is led by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division with Laurens police and coroner's office assisting.
