Texas style barbecue tops Aiken fundraiser weekend
The Aiken Newcomers Club hosted a Texas themed charity event at Kalmia Landing Clubhouse for 160 attendees. Jean White and Al White led cooking two hundred pounds of brisket with secret sauce while volunteers prepared sides and desserts for charity proceeds. Notables attended and organizers called it the club’s most successful fundraiser yet. The money benefits Aiken charities.
