London AP reports the Hanson quintuplets at Queen Charlotte's Hospital are showing satisfactory progress with no worsening in early jaundice signs in all five girls born last Thursday. Hospital officials say the condition is being monitored and remains stable.
Worthington librarian Dwayne Honerman asked for one Air Force film from Norton Air Force Base California. An Augusta man, Fletcher Matthew Spivey, 31, died in a one vehicle crash on Highway 278 east of Highway 19 in Aiken County at about 12:30 a.m. He lost control of a tank truck carrying livestock feed, struck a bridge abutment, and was pinned in the cab by trees. Coroner James Gregory arrived and pronounced death at the scene. This followed another fatal crash nearby on Silver Bluff Road involving Eddie Lee Green.
