Collision Puts Four In Hospital

A head-on crash on S C 421 just after noon Thursday sent four people to area hospitals. Mary Lou Corley driver of the left turning car and Karen Wall 24 of Langley were trapped and later hospitalized alongside Robert Lavallee 45 Burnet town and his wife Carole Ann 39. Corley and Mrs Wall remain in good condition while Mrs Wall and daughter Carmen A Wall 5 are listed in serious condition. Lavallee and his wife were treated and released.

Woman Charged In Shooting In Langley

A 31 year old Langley woman Jane Warren Faircloth was charged with murder after a fatal shooting of her husband Amos J Faircloth 36 at their Barett Street trailer in Langley Aiken County. Investigators say the 22 caliber revolver went off accidentally as she moved it from the living room to the bedroom.

Man Dies After Wreck In Petticoat Junction

A 32-year-old man, Major James Shumate, died after a car truck collision on S.C. 278 just outside Petticoat Junction. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Talmadge Memorial Hospital in Augusta. No other details were released.
