Silver Bluff defeats Hilton Head 25-6 as special teams miscues and ball handling woes derail the Seahawks. Quarterback James Ingram scores twice among four touchdowns while Hilton Head struggles to hang onto kicks and start drives.
In regional prep action Silver Bluff rode a 12-0 start to a decisive win while Hilton Head stressed defense. Bulldogs quarterback Ingram sparked scoring with a 56 yard run and four total rushing touchdowns as Silver Bluff built early momentum and held off late Seahawk drives.
Strom Thurmond edges Camden 14 13 in a Class AAA first round playoff as Roderick Williams blocks an extra point after a late comeback. The Rebels use two platoons and wear red helmets on offense and blue on defense. Williams described the decisive block as the turning point with Camden tiring in the second half.
Junior quarterback James Ingram rushed eight times for 103 yards and four touchdowns in Silver Bluff 25-6 first round win over Hilton Head. Senior David Dunbar added 61 rushing yards as the Bull dogs advanced behind a dominant line and two long keeper plays. Ingram credited his head coach Clayton Criswell for the game plan and his calm leadership.
