Jennie Marie Gioffredi Perry of Aiken South Carolina died November 12 2016. She was born March 21 1939 in Ankeny Iowa to Maria and Sestilio Gioffredi. She worked at John Deere Iowa before following her husband’s career and raising their children Linn Brian Steven. She is survived by her sister Anunziatina Battani and grandchildren Andrew Alex Sam and Kate with several nieces and nephews. The family thanks close friends and staff at Pruitt Health Aiken and Aiken Hospital and her remains will be laid to rest in Ankeny Iowa in the spring.

NTSB cites see-avoid limits after two midair crashes
The NTSB reported two 2015 midair collisions showing see-and-avoid flaws and urges pilots and controllers to adopt cockpit tech to avert crashes. In South Carolina a Cessna and an F-16 collided near Moncks Corner killing two on the Cessna while the F-16 pilot ejected. neither craft had traffic displays. In San Diego a Cessna colliding with a twin-engine jet killed five aboard both planes.
