Utah Gov Calvin Rampton says hundreds of letters and calls have arrived since his stay of Gary Gilmore's execution. He notes most come from extremists on both sides and little of it is helpful. He was interviewed Monday, the day Gilmore would have faced a firing squad for a motel clerk killing, with the Board of Pardons to decide Wednesday.
