Planning for elder care discussed by Chamber speaker
Jan Warner of Elder Law Services of South Carolina spoke at the Midland Valley Chamber of Commerce luncheon on elder care planning. He urged advance durable and health care powers of attorney and a will, noting costs under 1000 dollars and the risk of probate without these documents. He stressed appointing trusted decision makers to handle finances and health choices and avoiding letting a stranger decide medical care.
