Former SC lawmakers push flag removal over 1962 action
Former Gov John West leads a drive to urge the remaining 1962 all white General Assembly members to seek removal of the Confederate flag from the Statehouse. West says the flag was raised for a Civil War centennial and public opinion should be clarified. Women learn outdoor skills at Edgefield event
Forty two women from Georgia North Carolina and South Carolina gathered at the Wild Turkey Center in Edgefield for a day long Women in The Outdoors program. They rotated through handgun skeet archery and outdoor photography stations and completed a self defense class with a silent auction and merchandise raffle.
