Cavanaugh Bids Farewell as 24 Year Council Term Ends
Mayor Fred Cavanaugh chaired his last City Council meeting closing a 24 year term. He will preside at the Nov. 23 meeting before passing to Mayor-elect Rick Osbon, with Gail Diggs and Dick Dewar also to be sworn in. Gail’s Anatomy honored him for ovarian cancer awareness. Debbie Mills praised his proclamations and dedication as her daughter Abigail Mills, age 30, died of ovarian cancer in 2006.
