A Sentencing Project report argues that one in three black men may face prison in a lifetime, showing two separate justice systems for the wealthy and the poor. It cites implicit bias in policing, trials, and sentencing, with minorities receiving fewer resources and poorer defense.
A Graniteville man identified as Ronald W. Wilson aged 67 shot and killed his 16 year old grandson Gerald Wilson at his estranged wife’s home and then fatally shot himself. An off duty officer witnessed the suicide. the wife and the grandson’s live‑in girlfriend escaped.
