Dolls and artist show plans in Asheville
Artist Dye aims to revive a one of a kind doll show at the Asheville Civic Center in late 2011 after two annual shows. She spends six to seven hours daily on dolls and up to 15 hours daily before shows, while exploring new styles and harp mermaid fairy themes. Her daughter Destiny creates Felties shaped as sweets and may join future events. Prices range from 300 to 3000 dollars, and only a small fraction of makers break into the doll industry.
