Mecklenburg Superior Court Judge Robert Johnson refused to join nine of Wallace's ten murder cases into a single trial. He said jurors could not keep the 34 separate charges straight. Wallace, once of Barnwell, S C, pleaded innocent and faces multiple indictments in Charlotte and a murder charge in another jurisdiction.
Jeffrey Wayne Bradley 37, brought back to Oklahoma from South Carolina last week, is charged with failing to pay more than 41 000 in child support to two ex wives in the Tulsa area. Prosecutor Laura Thomas says he has two separate families and has not paid any support. Bradley was arrested two days before a planned Oct 21 wedding in Piedmont DC and has a preliminary hearing set for Nov 13.
